All our pewter table wear and gift wear items are spun using LEAD FREE Britannia pewter and are hand finished by the talented craftsmen and women of South Africa, making Maridadi Designs pewter products truly unique.

Pewter is a malleable metal alloy, normally containing between 85 to 99 percent tin, with the remainder consisting of copper, antimony and lead.

None of our products contain any lead at all. Copper and antimony are used to act as hardeners while lead is common in the lower grades of pewter, which have a bluish tint.
